چکیده

Background and Aims Athletic groin pain (AGP) is one of the most common injuries among athletes. It causes use compensatory mechanisms to adjust affects lumbar-pelvic hip movements, which leads prolonging healing process. This study aims compare timing electromyographic activity in selected muscles during a cross-cutting maneuver football players with AGP healthy peers. Methods In this quasi-experimental study, 28 second division league Iran participated two groups control (n=14) (n=14). The electromyography gluteus medius, adductor longus, rectus abdominis, multifidus, transverse abdominis/internal oblique was recorded bilaterally one-minute interval since time foot-ground contact groups. Results for onset medius muscle dominant foot (P=0.033) multifidus opposite (P= 0.023) group significantly delayed compared group; however, abdominis activated earlier before heel ground (P=0.001). Conclusion seems that changes players. These may put athletes at potential risk lower limb injuries. recommended find solutions reduce effects resulting changes.

The effect of three weeks of deep sensory training with ultrasound on pain and electromyographic activity of selected muscles in futsal players with chronic ankle pain while walking

Background: Following a serious injury, microtrauma and as a result of microscopic damage in joint surfaces, pain disorders in the skeletal and muscular system develop over time. Pain in the musculoskeletal system, in addition to injury, causes secretion and fatigue in the pastoral structure, which leads to disruption of the neuromuscular system. Although the foot is the last part of the lowe...

Electromyographic analysis of selected shoulder muscles during a rugby football

Background: Epidemiological studies have shown that the incidence of shoulder injuries is increasing in rugby and the majority are related to the contact/tackle phase of play. However, no data currently exists that describes preparatory muscle activity during tackle. This information could aid in guiding training and rehabilitation, if available. The purpose of the study was to assess the seque...
